President Eisenhower once stated that “The future of this republic is in the hands of the American voter.” Unfortunately a year or so ago the United States Supreme Court Justices went out flying kites, following a five-to-four vote to lift the limitation on corporate and union contributions to U.S. Presidential election campaigns in the United States. This is contrary to many states laws imposing bans on corporate contributions to running candidates, but now we are at a perilous state, threatening to end America’s democracy; for where money talks nobody walks. How can we allow Wall Street and corporate America to control the American Presidential elections? American voters watch out for 2016 elections and remember that those who don’t learn from lessons of history are doomed forever to repeat it.
